Almost a week in London and the weather has been perfect - by London standards. We arrived to a lot of local buzz about Gordon Brown and his election date announcement - May 6 if you're interested! We have braved the easter and school holiday crowds to take in some of the standard attractions - Buckingham Palace changing of the guard, Hyde Park,Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, St Paul's, Hamstead Heath, Portabello, Notting Hill, Millennium Bridge, Tate Modern, Tower Bridge , Borough Markets etc.
Just ask Michelle how many ways I can say Hamstead Heath...
The highlight was today with a trip to the Borough Markets, where we found the long queues always led to something delicious so you should just join one and see where you end up! A good way to start this day is a gourmet toasted cheese sandwich ( 5 pounds).
The sky is blue - the weather is warm ( 17 degrees) and the Baklava comes in 8+ flavours!
Hi guys, look like you have already settled in to the pommy way of life. Hope you were'nt responsible for Camilla breaking her leg :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Michelle - Hope you are working your way through the 8 flavours...
